About the author:
Dr Gary Wood is a social psychologist, author, life coach, and broadcaster. He specializes in communicating evidence-based psychological insights on all aspects of human social life in an engaging and accessible way. He is also research consultant to organisations in the public and private sectors. Dr Wood appears regularly on radio, and television, and is often quoted in newspapers and magazines offering expert analysis and psychological insight.
He currently appears on the Trisha Goddard Show (Channel Five) as part of her 'Campaign for Change' team. Other appearances have included BBC's Moneyspinners with Lorne Spicer, Beautiful Boys, a documentary by Yorkshire TV on changing attitudes to male grooming; Big Brother's Little Brother (Channel 4) with Dermott O'Leary talking about group dynamics and leadership in the Big Brother House (BB4), and BBC News 24. He appears in a regular column for Eve Magazine called 'You ask, men answer' . He is also on the advisory panel for Anne Diamond's Daily Mail column.
He is the author of Sex, Lies and Stereotypes. He is currently programme co-ordinator for Psychological Studies, at The Centre for Lifelong Learning, University of Birmingham. He also runs his own research consultancy and coaching practice.
